Officers

Steve Moore, Chairman, Founder
Steve has spent more than 25 years working as a tour promoter in the rock, country and Christian music industries. He is a member of the Country Music Association Board of Directors and has taught as an adjunct professor at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He has spent years working to improve the lives of underprivileged children in poverty-stricken areas through home building, healthcare and education initiatives. He is a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN. 

Jeff Lynch, President
Jeff has spent the last 20 years in financial consulting. He found his passion for missions in 2005 and has become an active volunteer working to improve the lives of those living in poverty. Jeff serves the Foundation as president of the Board of Directors. He lives in Nashville, TN and is a member of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN.

Tommy Sanders, Vice President
Tommy is the former Operations Director for Project C.U.R.E. and a former construction business owner. He has been involved with The Shalom Foundation since 1996, both participating in and leading numerous mission trips. He lives with his wife in Franklin, TN and is an active member of West Franklin Baptist Church.

Wayne Smith, Treasurer
Wayne has been involved with mission efforts in Guatemala and with The Shalom Foundation since 1995.  He is retired from the DuPont Company and is currently employed with the United Way of Williamson County as Finance Manager.  

Beverly Herro, Secretary
Beverly has worked with The Shalom Foundation since 1996, assisting in the Foundation's work both in the U.S. and abroad. She is currently the executive assistant to the President of Sony/ATV Music Publishing in Nashville, TN and serves the Board as Secretary. She lives in Franklin, TN.

 

Board Members

Amy Casseri
Amy serves as Associate Hospital Director / Chief Community and Business Development Officer at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt located in Nashville, TN. Amy has spent more than 15 years in the health care environment and is a champion for improving health for all children through the highest quality of care possible. She holds a BS from the University of Tennessee and a JD from the Nashville School of Law. She lives with her husband and 2 children in Franklin, TN.

Donnie Dalton
Donnie's long-time service with the Foundation has included leadership roles in construction, planning and spiritual leadership. He has both led and participated in numerous construction trips since 1991. He is an active member of Grassland Heights Baptist Church in Franklin, TN.
 
Parker Fretwell
After Parker's first trip to Guatemala in May 2006, he developed an incredible passion for the people of Guatemala and their needs. He is active in team leadership, construction, sponsorship and in event planning for the Foundation. He is a regional manager for a pharmaceutical company. He lives in Franklin, TN.
  
Tony Harris
Tony has served on construction mission teams since his first trip to Guatemala in 2006. A builder by trade, Tony has a passion for serving those in need and working to help improve living standards in Guatemala. He is active as well in sponsorship, team leadership and event planning for the Foundation. He and his wife, Tami, are active members of Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, TN.
 
Dr. Scott Parker
Dr. Scott Parker practices family medicine for the Vanderbilt Medical Group in Franklin, TN. He traveled to Guatemala leading one of the first teams from the Foundation providing medical care to dozens of children and continues to have a passion for serving those in need, both in the U.S. and abroad. He lives with his wife and 3 children in Franklin, TN.

Allison Bender, Director of Development
Allison has worked within the charitable community for many years. She has extensive development experience leading annual campaings, cause-related marketing efforts, donor relations and event planning. She holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Tennessee and has a passion to serve and make a difference. She is a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood.

Maria Jose de Gallardo, Program Director for Guatemala
Maria was born and raised in Guatemala City. As a teenager she participated in medical missions and evangelistic missions interpreting for the American teams which changed her life for ever. She has spent the last three years working with surgical teams from the US and helping needy children receive medical help in the US that they wouldn’t be able to get in their home country. She coordinates all in-country activities from the Guatemala City office.
