Medical Team- Doctors, Nurses serve Children in Guatemala An eighteen member medical team sponsored by Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and The Shalom Foundation returned Monday from a Medical Missions trip abroad in Guatemala City. The group successfully completed 40 surgical procedures and made friends with many special children and their families. They have generously given great gifts of treatment, care and healing. Their lives and hearts have been forever touched and changed. The next Medical Missions trip with The Shalom Foundation is planned for February, 2008.
