Everyone deserves
to be seen.
In Guatemala, many lack the option to ever reach a medical facility. Our goal is to see the unseen—validating their worth as human beings. We believe every person deserves to receive top-of-the-line care regardless of the distance. So for those who lack the means and need it most, we take grade A medical care directly to them.
You can ensure no one leaves empty-handed when it comes to their care.
Through our outreach missions across Guatemala, whole villages and outlying communities receive general health checkups, dental care, and nutritional supplements to provide short-term relief.
The Shalom Foundation partners with medical and non-medical volunteers from the U.S.A to coordinate one-week outreach mission trips. Most of these mission trips take place in city slums or the outlying villages of Guatemala City where the need is extreme. The reality is that most of these people will never have access to quality health care in their lifetime unless we go to them. We work with local village leaders to identify the neediest people in their communities so that we can bring hope to those that need it most. Our teams serve between 300-500 patients per day with all check-ups and medication given at no cost to the recipients. Patients that are diagnosed with critical conditions are then referred to trusted healthcare partners.
On every mission, our staff brings medication to help provide relief to general symptoms that can be solved through over-the-counter prescriptions. While prescriptions are being filled, our patients have the opportunity to visit the prayer tent and receive counseling through our chaplaincy ministry program.

“Serving on medical missions’ trips at the Moore Center has been life-changing for me, both as an RN and as a person. These trips are the pinnacle of my year, every time!”
