Sadly, lack of access to nutritional food is robbing Guatemala’s children of opportunity. Help provide access to the critical food they need and restore their futures.
Guatemala’s most vulnerable are starving.
Impoverished families are facing an unprecedented food crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2020, white flags signaling extreme hunger began to appear on the streets of Guatemala. Sadly, they have become a common sight across the country.
With our established patient database and our relationships in the local communities, we’ve identified the most desperate families in immediate need of aid. The Shalom Foundation is positioned to quickly provide critical assistance to these families, but we need your help.
Give our patients and their families hope with a White Flag Survival Kit. Each kit will supply a family of five with food and supplies for six weeks!
“Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for this gesture of love. We have been going through a lot of pain, but God bless the people who have made it possible to feed my children.”

How You Can Help:
Life-Changing Aid for Natalia
Five-year-old Natalia and her dad Alberto have already experienced more than their share of hardships and heartbreaks. Natalia was born tongue-tied, and her mother Vanessa innocently and tragically passed away in an armed robbery incident. Alberto as you can imagine has been struggling to care for his daughter ever since. Natalia received a frenectomy from The Moore Center to fix her tongue-tie, and thankfully we’ve been able to stay in close contact with them throughout this pandemic.
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, things became much worse for this sweet little family. Ever since his wife Vanessa passed away, there hasn’t been anyone to help him care for Natalia, so Alberto has had to work out of his home selling small car parts to be able to make ends meet while juggling the responsibility of watching his daughter.
Alberto makes between $2 - $2.66 USD daily, and with those funds, he’s done his best to care for Natalia but the money just isn’t stretching far enough to provide both rent and food. When our team dropped off a White Flag Survival Kit at his door, he was completely overwhelmed!
“I’m so thankful to The Moore Center! Not only because of the life-changing surgery you provided Natalia, but also for this survival kit. It is something I did not expect, and I’m really surprised with the quality of the bag contents! You have blessed me and Natalia greatly with this surprise!”
Provide hope to a child like Natalia.
